Lancaster Training Services Ltd (LTS) offer apprenticeships in Body Repair and Paint Refinishing. However, unlike with the Car and Heavy Vehicle programmes, the Body and Paint qualifications are delivered by our associates at the Blackpool and Fylde College. The body apprenticeships work in the same way as the mechanics apprenticeship, there is a framework to complete in order to gain the NVQ. Click HERE for the framework layout.
The Level 2 course will offer you more skills to help you move up the career ladder and, for those who are already experienced practitioners, it will also provide a recognised qualification. Techniques studied at Level 2 are covered in good depth, with the added area of Repair and Replacement of Non-Structural Panels.

Level 2:

Prepare vehicle panels to accept foundation and top coats

Prepare and apply foundation materials to vehicles

Repair minor vehicle paint defects

Health and safety, legal aspects and organisational requirements
Level 3 allows you to develop your skills to a very advanced level, with particular emphasis on: Health and Safety; Body Repair Techniques; Surface Preparation; Paint Application; Paint Fault Rectification.
